I am setting up a web site that needs to have several live web cams (can you
guess what for!).

Can anyone provide some advice of what software to use for the streaming on
the web site.

Probably will have 4 web cams (IP cameras) feeding to the web server
(located at a remote datacentre)

Need to support upto 50-200 concurrent viewers.

This will be run on a dedicated Linux server. Will use multiple ADSL lines
for the upstream of the video to the web server.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

what a site to get paid to create Whoot!.

Most cameras came with their own software, some of them provide
ActiveX or Java plugins that get the stream directly from the camera.
