I have setup a Standalone Root CA on a W2K3 Enterpriseserver (DC).
When trying to get an Certificate via the //machine/certsrv I always get the
following Error Message

Failed to create 'CertificateAuthority.Request' object.

Same message comes when trying to download the CRL.

Any Ideas?
Thanx
Wolfgang

Hi wolfgang try these quick steps to see it it resolves your problem, if
not let me know.

1. Open the Internet Services Manager.
2. Right-click the certsrv website and choose properties.
3. Click the Home Directory tab.
4. Under Application Settings, click the Configuration button.
5. Click the App Options tab, then enable the "Enable session state"
checkbox.
6. Without closing the dialog box, go out to a command prompt and type the
following:
Net Stop IISAdmin
Net Start IISAdmin
