Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

I have a Linux-Denian http-server running Apache.

Someone told me that the Version of Apache on this server is a testing
version, and that this is not good, and that it can not update.

Is that correct.

Here is the version info:

( Apache/1.3.29 (Debian GNU/Linux) )

Installeded 1.3.29.0.2-4
Candidate: 1.3.29.0.2-4
Version Table:
1.3.29.0.2-4 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
1.3.26-0woody3 0
500 http://ftp.dk.debian.org stable/main Packages
500 http://security.debian.org stable/updates/main Packages

And here is the content of the sources.list file:

deb http://ftp.dk.debian.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib
deb-src http://ftp.dk.debian.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main contrib
non-free
deb-src http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main
contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main contrib non-free

I hope someone has a good advice.

Any Apache version is a "version". If you want to update, you can
always update from the source code.
