I've installed apache with mod_perl and mod_fp.

Now, I can update the web pages and move them to the webserver using
frontpage, but how do I use a different authoring tool and move the
files via ftp?

Thanks!

I understand that. I guess I'm asking what is the best to use for this
type of situation?

Instead of ftp use ssh and sftp with chrooted directory which would be
more secure.
Also, install the scponly shell
