Post subject: upload restriction
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hi,

I have run into a weird problem. Hopefully you can help me.

I run apache/mysql/php on a win32/xp machine. Locally everything works
fine. But as soon as I transfer my site to my host a strange problem
occurs.

When I upload a file up to 99.999MB everything goes well. But as soon
as I hit the 100mb mark there is a problem. The upload starts as usual
but after precisely 30 seconds the upload stops. I have set the php
setting max_file_size and post_max_size to 1024 both in the .htaccess
of my provider.

Does anyone have an idea what is going on here? Is this an apache
restriction I can set through .htaccess? Or is it something else. I
have found nothing on either google or groups.google. Nor can I find
any http restructions in it's RFC.

Hopefully someone can help me.

Kind regards,
Flak.

when you say you have set upload/post max size to 1024, I have a site
that works under win/lin I use the value 1000M, so try 101M (I use
apache 2.2.3/php 5.1.6)

Thank you for your reply. This problem was bugging me for a couple of
days. But as soon as I posted it here I found the solution. It is an
apache restriction: LimitRequestBody. Now that I have set that to
1000000000 the upload isn't being cancelled anymore.
