I upgraded webserver version 2.0.43 to version 2.0.48 and now it is very
very slow and I don't know what I can do.

It is slow locally and remotely, so it is not a bandwith issue.

It runs okay for the first few minutes and then becomes progressively worse.

any more details I can provide to help get an answer, I would be glad to
provide.

thanks,
Bob

and now it is crashing after a while with 0x6ff1b244 referenecd at
0x0000...the memory could not be "READ"

some kind of memory error?...
I uninstalled and then reinstalled...and this is running on windows 2000,
and it had been working (previous version) for over a year.

....the answer is if you have too many virtual hosts, the performance will
suffer.

I believe there are ways around this, according to the FAQ which I guess I
should have read more carefully...but still..it is really strange that 1 too
many virtual hosts will sink the boat like that.

Hi Bob & Anyone else for that matter.

I have just done exactly the same thing with exactly the same problem.

I have about 50 domains in the httpd.conf file.

Surely the web server can handle 100's of domains or am I doing
something fundamentally wrong here?

Bob have you found a fix?

Regards

Mark
