Post subject: update KB939373 causes iis to fail
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Seeing from previous posts, I am not the only one with this problem. However
I did not find a decent explaination. After installing this update iis does
not start and there is a procedure not found error.

Below is the beginning of the install log of the update and there are
already errors (I do not post the full log to avoid polluting the
newsgroup). If the rest is needed I can add it.

As the update does not seem to have installed, I cannot uninstall and so
have to uninstall iis and reinstall it as the only solution (loosing the
full iss configuration)

I tried to follow up on this post

but I don't know what log files I would need to post

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

This is known issue, many encountered the same problem. but not all XP will
get this error. mine for example able to installed the patch without issue.
I would suggest you talk to Microsoft support, have them help you to fix it.

Patch issue is FOC.
