No matter what I do, I keep getting this error, when compiling apache Sad

[root@server apache_1.3.28]# apachectl start
Syntax error on line 207 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/mod_vhost_alias.so into server:
/etc/httpd/modules/mod_vhost_alias.so: undefined symbol:
ap_os_is_path_absolute
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
[root@server apache_1.3.28]#

My config command is rather long, but is as follows:
