Post subject: unable to stsrt IIS
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi there

I am using Windows XP Professional and I installed IIS
components in that.
I can able to see the ststus "manually stsrted" in the
Administative tools(Services).But the IIS is not at all
working.
When I right click on my system name in the IIS,I am not
getting the options like new web site,FTP site.,etc.

when I am trying to open asp page from the server I am
getting "page cannot be displayed". Help me to solve this
problem

First, you can only have one site with any desktop OS. This has not changed. As far as the error, try this article to see if it helps:
<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];309051>

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.
