Post subject: IIS unable to start Default Web Site
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have installed Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003 on a new server. All works ok
except the outlook web access. which seems to be down to IIS as the error is:

Event ID 15005
Unable to underlying transport for 0.0.0.0:80. The IP Listen-only list may
contain a referance to an interface which may not exist on this machine. The
data field contains the error number

As far as I am aware there is no other service running on port 80.

My servers are Compaq with network teaming in fault tolarant mode. On IP
exists on the network team.

Has any one got any sugestions, as this works all fine on another server
setup in exactly the same way.

Thanks.

Chris

Hello,
1) Run "netstat -ano" to confirm if there is any other service listening on
port 80. Stop any non-IIS service that might be binding to port 80
2) It appears that you need to populate the IP Listen only list on this
Windows 2003 server. You need to add the IP address(es) that IIS website is
binding to.

Thanks.

I managed to fix my problem using httpcfg.exe delete the 0.0.0.0 address then
adding the IP Address I wanted to the HTTP.sys file. Problem solved.
