I'm new to apache. I'm not sure if this is part of the problem but here's
the setup...
I have a web server behind NAT. This server therefore has an IP address and
DNS zone on each network. However, the server has the same DNS hostname on
each zone.

I want to run a seperate web site under the Document Root. It's under a
directory called directory and there's an index.html inside...

http://myserver.domain1 - this works

http://myserver.domain1/directory - this doesn't work

http://myserver.domain1/directory/ - this works

How can I get http://myserver.domain1/directory to work?

Every webmaster can sing a song about trailing slashes, please see the
Apache's faq, there are some suggestion about it.

I already did but can't fix it. The FAQ is too vague in this respect...

I fixed it. I put the external FQDN as the ServerName in httpd.conf.
