Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hi, well I couldn't get it to work, the jsp pages were showing up as text on
the webpage, so anyway I'm starting from scratch on a test box.

I want to make sure I'm using the right documentation from the start though.

I was had been using
http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2002/11/20/tomcat.html
which may just be outdated or wrong
and
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-3.2-doc/uguide/tomcat_ug.html
which is tomcat 3.2, and says TOMCAT_HOME/conf/tomcat-apache.conf
will be generated when tomcat is started. Well it isn't generated.

Any assistance or pointers to pristine documentation is appeciated.

I'm running:
tomcat 4.1.24
httpd-2.0.40-21
j2sdk-1.4.1.02
redhat advanced server 2.1
kernel 2.4.20-8

/Patrice

I recommed checking this out: <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.pubbitch.org/jboss/mod_jk2.html." target="_blank">http://www.pubbitch.org/jboss/mod_jk2.html.</a> It
talks about JBoss with integrated Tomcat, but is certainly good for getting
standalone Tomcat working with Apache as well.
