.swi files not being served in web

I have recently published a website onto a new IIS 6
server. I am finding that the .swi files are not being
served to visitors of the site, the web just hangs and
shows that "One item remaining" message in the status bar
of their browsers. What setting adjustments do I need to
make to the IIS server to allow this content to be served
to visiting browsers as well?

You need to add that file type to the list of known types.
