Hi,

I have been hunting around for a decent (and cheap) logfile analyser. I have
been using webalizer for a while now but are now looking for a more robust
solution. We host a number of non-commercial community sites that have large
traffic but small budgets - this makes webtrends too expensive as we would
require the enterprise edition.

I am looking for a log analyzer that:

Is quick (easy) to set up/configure
Allows for multiple clients to login via the web
Is not limited by the number of domains/page views logged
Doesn't look like it was designed by a 5 year old!

Any suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks in advance,

Stu

Decent and cheap is hard to come by. Have you looked at the ones listed on

As an alternative, how about importing the logs into a database and writing
up some of your own scripts? The only cost is your time.

Definitely check out analog (www.analog.cx) This is the
FASTEST log file analyzer on the planet IMHO and can give
some very useful statistics.

It's a PITA to configure and have it produce the reports
you want but once done it will rip through your logs.

However, no support for unique user counts.
