I have the domain rootmode.com and I have a federally registered trademark
for rootmode with the USPTO.
I'm thinking of registering .net and .org and possibly .info and .biz to
protect the name, but where do I stop? There are tons of .tld
Should I simply not worry about anything other than .com?
There are the possible scenarios by doing this:
* someone registers another .tld and I may get some traffic by people
inadvertantly typing .com instead of the correct .tld for the other
website.
* someone commercial registers another .tld and I send a "cease and
desist" letter since I registered the trademark (of course, they would
have to be in the same line of business that I have protection in).
Or should I just spend the money to corner the market with regards to
rootmode?
All past experiences, suggestions, insights, points of view welcomed.
Thanks.
