Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hi,

I'm a newbie at apache and my problem is the following:

I have recently installed apache v2.0.47 and when I view my web page
(index.html) everything is fine, when I click on "Enter" button (goes to
test.php), I get, a msg saying Server not responding and my apache service
has stop running. I've got the following error codes in the log:
200 7198, 200 5855, 200 22545 and 200 1085 referring to different files.

My installation is Apache v2.0.47 on a w2k adv. srv OS. IIS is NOT installed
and apache service starts with no errors.

Can anyone help ?

On PHP web site is clearly written to NOT use Apache 2 and PHP, I guess
that the two are not stable yet and can crash. I'd downgrade Apache to
1.3.

They also say that we can use the php4apache2.dll instead of the
php4apache.dll file which is more likely to work.

But I'll give it a try with 1.3
