afternoon all (or morning I guess depending on which side of the pond you're
on)
I just tried looking at one of the sites I'm running locally (win XP pro)
for testing. (I have them all local while I build them and then upload to a
server) and none are working.
All I get is the standard MSN page saying the site is not available. I can
successfully stop and restart IIS (from the DOS prompt) and the event viewer
shows that the services were stopped and restarted, but still no sites...not
even the basic default one. The event viewer shows nothing else of much
interest. The last entry was SAVSCAN started.
If I stop and start the service from the IIS manager in control panel, I can
get one page to come up, usually without the images, and then it crashes
again.
I have changed nothing on my system and they were working perfectly last
night. The only thing that happened was this morning when I went to look at
the one I had been working on, it loaded but with no images, since then I
haven't been able to get any of them, even after a reboot
anyone have any ideas?
many thanks
