Hi all,

my problem is the following. I want to run Apache and IIS on the same
machine. Whereas Apache strictly binds to only those IPs I assign to it,
IIS always binds to the address I assign to it, plus it returns the
following nice message on all other addresses:
"No web site is configured at this address."

Oh ... good to know. Probably it assumes it was my mistake to not bind
this IP - but it was intentional. How can I stop IIS from showing this
misbehavior?

FYI: I need IIS only to run SUS, nothing more. It will only run in our
intranet since I have security concerns for the outbound connection.
Apache is responsible for this.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Oliver

Find a solution in the following KB article.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsof...om:80/s

For "performance" reasons IIS binds to all IPs ("IP pooling"). One can
disable this "feature" using the ADSUTIL.VBS script.
