Way down deep in the middle of the congo, Kkiely and a hippo took an apricot a
guava and a mango. Stuck it with the others and he danced a dainty tango...

Y'er wrong there. There is new form of *cutting-edge* bandwidth which as
its name implies will make the hole larger.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

When you say a hole in your page, do you mean ...

(1) an image of hole ?
(2) something like an iframe ?
(3) or a large blank space on your page ?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I posted about a PHP form i have on my page. I didnt run
"htmlspecialchars" on it. So a couple of hackers got into my page. They were
pretty nice about helping me out and told me how to plug the holes, etc. But he
said "Well, I was able to view the entire hard drive, upload a script of my
own, look at the entire password file, etc.. " My site is run off a Unix server
and i think he ran some uniq commands to find passwords etc. How do i reset
these passwords? I know I have a password to FTP into my site but i dont know
of any other passwords that relate to my site.
But i think there were probably a lot of different people who tried to
take a poke at my page.

Kkiely, anyone who views your pages will use bandwidth. Bandwidth theft usually
refers to hotlinking images, and sometimes a robot will use tons of your
bandwidth without having to bother hacking into your site.

Sometimes people will hack into your site in order to use you as a host for
porn, warez, or whatever they don't want to get caught distributing themselves.
This happened to someone I know quite recently. You should look into this.

Technically he is correct. Bandwidth does not exist in cable communications,
only in radio waves.
The usage of the word was applied to the internet because it sounded fancier
and could mean any number of things so hosts can rip you off more.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
