Hello,

Can somebody tell me how to get statistics for each website & virtual
directory?

I have heard about analog... do I have to install CGI?
The results of analog looks not realy cool... are there add ons for this?
How do I have to configure analog? the website does'nt helpt me a lot.
Can I also see the route on the site of one unique visitor?

Are there other free programs?

Thanks!
Arjen

Hi,

You don't need to have CGI for Analog.cx, you can if you want but you don't
need it. You can make Analog's output look nicer using Report Magic
(http://www.reportmagic.org). The configuration is pretty straight forward.
It comes with a help site too that's worth reading. It won't show you the
route of each user but you can see where they went by checking your logs
directly.

There are other free log interpreters available but Analog is (in my
opinion) the easiest one to use

Try here:

Logfiles:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.iisfaq.com/default.aspx?view=P141" target="_blank">http://www.iisfaq.com/default.aspx?view=P141</a>

CGI isn't something you install, it's a technology. Analog uses Perl,
and yes you need to install that. Try:

Activestate.com
Analog.cx

Didn't look very hard at Analog's site did you?

See:

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.reportmagic.org/" target="_blank">http://www.reportmagic.org/</a>

(Mentioned and linked about six line down on Analog's home page, the
line that says: "Combined with Report Magic, you can generate even
prettier reports.")

 >How do I have to configure analog? the website does'nt helpt me a lot.

Okay, again from the web site, the How To list:

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.analog.cx/how-to/index.html" target="_blank">http://www.analog.cx/how-to/index.html</a>

Step through them in order and you'll have a completely configured
analyser. Includieng using the pre-configured configuration for IIS,
you have to change like three lines to make it match your system.

 >Can I also see the route on the site of one unique visitor?

If you do some configuration, yes, but it's not designed for that.

Back to the first link I posted.
