Post subject: After starting, the service hang into a starting-pending state
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi All all,
I have a NT 4.0 runing IIS 4.0.
I restart the machine automatically each day and start the
IIS Admin and WWW service using a .bat file.
At morning i see a dialog box:

inetinfo.exe

The instruction at "0x77f64d7b referenced memory..
could not be "read"

---------------

And in the Event Viewer I see the error:
"After starting, the service hang into a starting-pending
state"

Can somebody help me ?

TIA
Manuel

Does this happen every morning? Did this error just start happening? If
so, anything change on the server? What do you do to get the services
started again?

Thank you,

I stop and start the services using the at program and=20

Do you know if a should reinstall a service pack or a IIS?

Thanx
