Hi Everyone,
Recently my IIS link in admin tools will not open the iis control panel. I
have been doing asp development on the machine for some time so it seems odd
this problem has all of a suden happened. I read somewhere a file (iis.mcs?)
could be corrupt? Does anyone know how to fix it?

You can try creating your own MMC Snapin by doing:

Start -> Run -> mmc.exe

Then do File -> Add/Remove Snapin -> Add button, and add Internet
Information Services. Save this new snapin over your old one (located in
your inetsrv directory) once you have verified that it does work properly
(or just save it anyplace else...)
