| Hi,
| I am having problems in starting IIS on my Windows 2000 machine. After
| installation, I tried starting the IIS. If gives an error in the Event Log
| saying
| The World Wide Web Publishing Service service terminated with the following
| error: The authentication service is unknown.
| Request you to help me in correcting this.
| This is a standalone machine, Windows 2000. I am not in any network. I use
| dial-up to connect to the Internet.
| ThankYou.
| Harish
