I'm going to start a website with IIS6 and Frontpage XP.
I would like to have a SQL database back-end for some type
of auction or trading. I kinda have a good understanding
of frontpage and IIS working together but when I start
adding the SQL, that's when it's starts getting tricky.
Where should I start to learn to support this type of web
site. I would like to use MS products to learn first.
Thanks.

I am not familiar with frontpage XP but frontpage 2000 has some limited
cabability. Yo will want to research either asp or asp dotnet.

here is a great resource for asp <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.aspfaq.com/" target="_blank">http://www.aspfaq.com/</a>

and active newsgroups at microsoft.public.inetserver.asp.general and
microsoft.public.inetserver.asp.db

HTH
