slow startup / restart

Hi group,

I have an apache 2.0.46 with about 100 virtual hosts, until a couple of days
it went perfectly, but since I added the last virtual host the restart takes
about 4 to 5 minutes until the first port 80 connections are made, no
entries in the log files are giving clues about what´s happening, before
the last virtual hosts were added ist started up in a coupe of seconds.
What might this be? The box is not under heavy load or sth similar,
any other services are going fine, top reveals under 1% sys load.

any ideas ?
