recommend you look at low vision page styles with large fonts and high
contrast. more ambitious would be blind user style. kids with fine motoe
challenges such as multiple scherosis need large buttons because they tend
to "shake over" smaller ones. check this site out, it will give you lots of
ideas. although it's clearly not your central demographic....

now back to Mambo from the prev. thread. all a CMS does is allow non-
technical people to update site content, usually in a WYSIWYG environment.
you seem to be developing your own so maybe there's no advantage.

yeah, but due to the visual nature of the data, there's only so far you can
go....unless there's other techniques to serve the more debilitated. as in
teaching techniques.

Sorry, I know nothing about Perl! I'll tell you if it looks nice when it's
finished!

OK, try this one:
My rent is due in _10_ days time. It is _100_ pounds. Just now I have _50
_ pounds. How can I find the other _50_ ?

ARGH! Does this imply you're going to use microfonts by default? Yuk!
Use "font-size:100%" and everyone will get a font size they can read.
If you insist on using microfonts, then use font-size:100% for the default
site, and then have an "alternative" style with microfonts. See how many
people use your alternative style. (Hint, in an algebraic style: as
<visitors> tends to infinity, <number of people using alternative style>
tends to 0.)
PS: Was playing about with your e^(imaginary number) solver and could
only remember pi to about 6 decimal places. Looked around your site for a
more accurate value of pi, but couldn't find it anywhere.
Had to eventually go here:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://newton.ex.ac.uk/research/qsystems/collabs/pi/pi6.txt" target="_blank">http://newton.ex.ac.uk/research/qsystems/collabs/pi/pi6.txt</a>
For fairly accurate values of pi, the Answer given is good, but the
graphical equation below is wrong. It truncates the answer, insisting that
e^(pi*i) = -1 + 1.

On a philosophical note, pi is 22/7 no other representation will do.
To try and represent the real world in digital format must fail. pi
proves this most eloquently and by so doing rubbishes 99% of
"science".
Something for you mathematicians to ponder.

Tee hee! Sadly, my poser was hypothetical.

Except that pi is miles away from 22/7!
22/7 only approximates pi to four significant figures. My 7 significant
figure approximation of pi is about a *thousand* *times* more accurate
than 22/7.
