The Ashley Group logo could use some improvement--especially the smaller
one.
You should try to eliminate horizontal scrolling in your frame.
Once you pick a range within the cataloge there's no button to back up to
the "range" list.
One the "range" page, the text should by hyperlinked as well as the images.
Add "For more information on this product, contact us at
ashley RemoveThis @theashleygroup.co.uk" (or something like it) on each product page.
Add the logo to the main frame--but then you'll have to change colors so it
will stand out from the background.

Fix all that and it will be worth the £100

The sleep.jpg is size compressed using html code, instead you should resize
using a graphics proogram, otherwise the graphic looks squeezed and out of
proportion.

I think frames are counter productive in this case, youre selling a product,
but you're limiting the viewing of the product to, maybe 30% say 40% of the
available screen...

Adjust the pic, sleep.jpg then add additional info to the header, the name
of the company should be in the top of the first fold, maybe incorp into the
sleep image. What happen is when the use scrolls through one of the frames,
the center frame, the name of the company disappears, it's no where to be
found.

Make bigger pictures of the bed, that's what they're selling, too much
wasted space that could be given to promoting the product.

I don't think the blue works...but that's just me, maybe.

I agree - the blue doesn't work at all.

More comments:

The catalogue page scrolls way too much. Too much spacing between
products and the images are too big if you want them all on one page.

Consider a 2x4 or 3x3 grid to display them with no scrolling.

sleepy.jpg needs the edges anti-aliased (I think that's the right term)
onto a blue background and not a white one, as it is now (Has that "cut
out" look to it)

The "Kozee Sleep" and "Ashley Group" logos on top of the catalogue page
are redundant/useless and simply take up space - move them into the
individual product pages to keep the branding.

Personally, I don't like serif fonts on web sites, but that could be me
(I prefer arial or verdana - seems easier on the eyes)

12 megs for a PDF brochure is insane - convert it into HTML and then
you've got all that content for the site (and will be indexble by the
SE's, to boot)

You need <title> tags

You need more information on the site other than just the products and
prices alone - as it stands now, it's a brochure-ware site - i.e. the
only people who will visit are those already convinced to buy. Right now,
there is no reason for people to come back to the site.

(An article or two on the differences in quality, selecting decent
pillows, blankets, etc, etc)

That's the quick stuff, off the top of my head... A good first start,
though, to be sure.

Thanks for the replies so far. The blue is the colour of their logo etc.
and would you believe that the logo that they are using, which they gave to
me is just made in word.

The site is only for retailers to obtain information on the products that
they are distributing so there won't be any public viewing the site.

I wasn't going to have a splash screen but they wanted the two logos to be
shown at the beginning as they are going to copy this site onto cd and post
it out to retailers that they deal with. Do you think if I made the logo in
illustrator it would make that much of a difference?

I have added links to the text on the catalogue page, the pictures of the
beds though are really there just to refresh the retailers memory, so that
they know what the information is about.

Anyone know of software than can compress a PDF file further?

I know that it isn't anything special but they wanted the cheapest option
and if I were to spend days on this I wouldn't be getting anything else for
it.

If their logo is carved in wood, and they aren't carpenters or other wood
artisans, I'd say that you are giving them value for their money.

I have changed the splash logo, does this look better or worse? Every time
I try and draw and oval it looks crap around the edges

Why must the user click to enter the site? What's wrong with them entering
the site when they type in the address? Is it a test?
