Just curious - even DMOZ, Google or Yahoo.com only have PR 9. Can a site
with PR 10 even exist ?

Just don't understand one thing: I know people have linked
to me, from sites that are indexed, yet they don't show up
when I type link:my site in Google.
(according to Google, I have zero backward links)
Anyone know why that is?

LMAO, never understood why people put those on their site. People
interested can validate the page themself, and most people have no clue
what those icons mean, or care for that matter. It just clutters up your
page. It's like putting a sticker with your gender on your head

Good point Els. I have noticed this too. It *appears* that Google are a
bit slow on this.
I'm still waiting for my Yahoo directory listing to show up as a backward
link!
Perhaps (as ever) a little patience is required.

As I said, most of the site owners don't even know. The percentage of
sites with the icons that validate probably isn't much higher than the
percentage of sites without them that validate.

As someone mentioned in another thread earlier, they only show if they
have a PR of 4+.
