Exactly, and my rates drop a lot if a client is paying for a large
chunk of work. I prefer to charge for X number days work instead. But
if I'm charging per-hour, that means uninterupted dedication to that
client for that time, and that costs money as it's hard work.
It's not just me you pay for anyway; I have a state-of-the-art studio
at home for video editing and web work.
I have one client who happily pays $1300 a month just to have me on
call at the moment. Usually works out about 3-4 hours work a month.
