Post subject: sharepoint services install
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

When performing the install for a single server configuration for sharepoint services, i can get the database to be installed to where i want it, but is there a way to install the web-based part of the program to another virtual folder in iis and specifically inetpub from the beginning? Right now, it installs to the "default web folder" and i would rather it go to a folder such as .. oh i dont know... sharepoint!?!?!?!

Thanks for the help

Are you saying that you want the Sharepoint administration site to install
into the Default Website?

Or are you saying that you want the files that the Sharepoint administration
site uses to be installed into a physical folder underneath \inetpub\?

The first sounds a little crazy, because it'd break any site that's already
using the Default Website
The second is plausible, but other than cosmetic reasons, why would you want
to do this?

Cheers
