Quite a simple one this, I just cannot figure whats going wrong?
I have both apache 1.3 and 2.0 running happily on my win XP machine,
I am routing my IP address to apache using no-ip.com.

With this simple set up I can type http:ant.servebeer.com
and up pops my webpage! easy!

the problem is, I have added a simple wap (.wml) page.
when the server is running I can still happily access the web page
(html) BUT the wap page (wml) just hangs then times out with
connection error 500!?!? (this happens on both my mobile and the local
PC using WAP emulator)
As far as I can see I have added the: AddType text/vnd.wap.wml line
into the httpd.conf it doesnt report any errors, but the page doesnt
work?
Ive changed the index.html to index.wml in the config, and also
various other tweaks, all with no success!
Do i need to download some additonal files? or have I not configed the
apache thing correctly? (It seems as if it only wants to serve .html
files?)
(The .wml page is fine as it works perfectly if I upload it onto my
ISP's webspace!?)
Any advice as to where its al going "pete tong!" is greatly received.

Cheers,
Tony

Add the following lines to /etc/mime.types:

text/vnd.wap.wml wml
text/vnd.wap.wmlscript wmls
application/vnd.wap.wmlc wmlc
application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc wmlsc
image/vnd.wap.wbmp wbmp

for a start.

The 500 error concerns me though, you should at least be able to get to
the file. Are you putting in the same document root as your index.html?
