Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hi guys,

Has anyone had problems with apache recently? I have a fresh install of
Debian/Woody. I set-up my users, public_html directoiries, chmod 777
public_html and setup my virtual domains. This worked fine just a month
ago. Now whenever I access a site over the internet I only see the expected
text and no image files. The page(s) never load completely. I can see the
pages perfectly locally or over SAMBA. Apache loads and restarts without
errors. I'm puzzled and not a apache expert. I thnk that I have a worm on
my XP box but how would that effect appache?

Any ideas are apreciated.

Chris

I am having a similar problem. I have found though, that when I turn
logging level up to debug from warn, I seem to get my images serveed
up just fine. Any hints anyone?

Hey Again,
Every and then I feel like a real linux geek than I'm brought back to earth.
I set apache to run logs for every virtual site. But I forgot to give
apache ownership of the files so it hung when it tried to write to the logs.
I gave apache ownership and everything woked fine,
Regards,
Chris

Try this:

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/faq/error.html#error.sendfile" target="_blank">http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/faq/error.html#error.sendfile</a>

It works for me Smile
