I am new to the Jakarta world, so pardon me if I fumble on the terminology
here. Anyway, I would like to monitor the performance of our Jakarta web
server but have no clue how to do it, or where to start. Would anybody in
this forum be able provide me with instructions on how to do it? I've seen
(on the web) instructions on how to enable monitoring on an Apache server,
and tried it out. But the files the web site recommended changing was not
on our server. So I am guessing there is a difference between an apache
server and a Jakarta Tomcat server.

In anycase, I'd greatly appreciaate any help possible. By the way, the
version we are running is 4x. In advance. Thank you very much.

Yes, TomCat is not Apache.
I suggest you implement some kind of monitoring tool, search the Web,
you'll find something.
