Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

I have check the file permissions for the directories that my files are in,
but still the serverroot will only accept one particulare folder.

Of course will ServerRoot accept only one folder. This tells me one look
into the documentation. What's your problem?

For what reason do you change ServerRoot? What doesn't work?

it was set to a default directory when I intalled it, and when I change it

Of course. I wonder that apache works with a changed ServerRoot.
Please read the documetation about ServerRoot and DocumentRoot.
Next time, please read the documetation first.
