If this is not the right group, please direct me to the right one.

I need to change my web hosting company. I used DomainNamesGB.com for
three years, but ever since they were acquired by Business Serve plc, I've
had problems with the email account. Numerous phone calls and excuses
later, the situation hasn't changed.

I have made a shortlist:

http://www.acshosting.co.uk/
http://www.globellspace.com/
http://www.simply.com/
http://www.powersofthosting.co.uk/

Do you know them? Any comments, please?

Alternatively, I will be happy to check out your suggestions. I want the
company to be UK based, with technical support over the telephone. I don't
need much storage space (actually the whole site is only 1MB or so), much
bandwidth or many POP3 accounts (one will do, as long as it works all the
time!). FTP is essential; stats, virus/spam filtering, search engine
submissions would be nice, but not necessary.

MTIA

Hanna

I always reccomend Redstation to clients.....They've always done right by
me, and I've never had a single complaint with them.....

Can't comment on any of your choices, and they are not in UK, but I would
add these two to your short list:

futurequest.net
tera-byte.com

Hanna - I too have a 'few' domains with DNGB and have stuck with them
through thick and thin over the last 2-3 years (web and email
services). All seemed ok, nice and stable for the past 6-8 months, but
now things really have got bad. No email response, the Business Serve
support guys dont have a clue or are able to rectify any issues "we
dont have server permissions"..... this is now 3 weeks of issue after
issue for us - we have become totally frustrated.

Did you swap elsewhere in the end? can you recommend?

Back to Business Serve - I am now taking this higher within the
management there, would you like to contibute? or be happy to help
others affected in some way, perhaps share your issues so as we can
take them forward collectively?
