Hi all,

When I log on to my server as admin of the MACHINE I can open my website to
edit it. I want to be able to logon to the server as admin of the DOMAIN
and be able to edit the website. When I do this I'm prompted with a user,
password, and domain box. I type in the DOMAIN admin user, password and
DOMAIN name, but it won't let me edit the site. I also tried using the
MACHINE admin user and password but it didn't work either. In the FP
Extensions 2002 virtual server administrator I added the admin of the domain
as an administrator but I still can't get in. Where am I missing something?

Hope I've provided enough info.

Thanks in advance,
Deb

I need to give you an update. I CAN open the default website when I logon
as DOMAIN admin. However, I can't open any of the subwebs that I have.
It's then that I'm prompted for user, pwd, and domain and nothing that I
type in works.

Is the domain admin a part of the local admins group on the server?

Hi Deb,

As Jeff has suggested, you can check whether you have added your Domain
account into the local administartors group. You can type "Lusrmgr.msc" in
start->run. Then "Local users and Groups" window will pop up. You can press
Group -> Administrators to add the domain account to the group.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.
