Post subject: securing Apache with modules
Archived from groups: comp>infosystems>www>servers>unix, others (more info?)

Hello, (fu2 comp.infosystems.www.servers.unix)

I run several Apache servers with php web applications from various
origins and I would like to increase the security of these systems. Code
auditing is a background process, and I need something more "quick'n
dirty" to shield my servers now.
While diging the ports tree of FreeBSD I've found a mod_security
(http://www.modsecurity.org/).
Does anybody have some insight about using this module (or others) to
secure production servers ? How easy and fast is it ?

regards,
patpro
