Did anyone else notice a significant drop in traffic this July/August
compared to earlier in the year, and more so than last year?

And have you noticed traffic picking up now September is here?

Matt

You forgot your "OT" Matt!

I don't drive much these days, but it is certainly quieter around where I
live during the day, because the schools are back.

In Scotland they go back a couple of weeks before England, and I think break
up earlier too.

I don't think that they are back yet as I went to town today and there
were plenty of kids along the high street. I think that they go back in
the next couple of days - IIRC it is usually around the 4th.

You may have noticed an increase in traffic due to the amount of parents
who have returned to work after having the last week in August off to
spend time with the children. A lot of parents seem to take this week as
holiday, and as it has just ended the number of people returning to the
office would be quite high.

Not yet - still plenty time for the 'me too' brigade to settle in.

You're absolutely right. Same shit in my gym every year.

There was a slight dip, although I don't really have enough visitors to track
trends very accurately. It's turned colder though, and it's Christmas already
in shop time.
