Post subject: How to reuse the snapin extension IIS SMTP Service Snap-in
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi,

I'm developping an application which work as an even sink for SMTP on IIS 5.0 & IIS 6.0.

My app admin console is a standard MMC Console.

From my console I want to display into a subnode every SMTP virtual servers present on the system by reusing the existing SMTP node extention from IIS. How to do that ?

I have red the MMC MSDN doc which explain how to define an existing MMC extention as an available extention for a Standalone snapin, but it appear that some init code is required for the SMTP Extention Snapin (Extention GUID:{03f1f940-a0f2-11d0-bb77-00aa00a1eab7}). Can someone provide some infos about that ?

Thanks, Pietro
