Hi,
I changed the Internet Guest Account password, and now
everytime I create a new website I have to put in the new
password before anyone can have access to the site. Is
there anyway I can either restore the old password or
tell windows to automatically use the new one?
Thanks, Jamie >> Stay informed about: restore I'net Guest Acc. Pass.? |

Where did you change it? It's kept in two places - did you remember to
change it in the IIS MMC too?

I changed it in Computer Management/Local Users and
Groups/Users, how do you change it in MMC? If you mean
Web Site -> Properties -> Directory Security -> Auth &
Access etc, then this is my question, how do I get it to
automatically set this for new web pages?
Thanks, Jamie

That's it - There's a text box for the password under the anonymous access
dialog.

Yeah, but before I changed the password I did not need to
do this manually, is there anyway I can get back to this?
Thanks, Jamie

not sure what you mean - you need to do this manually *because* you changed
the password ...
