Hello,
I run a highly-visible public-facing web service for a number of
clients, who incorporate skinned versions of my service into their
sites. Typically this is done by them adding a link to
clientname.myserver.com to their site navigation. However, some
clients don't want the public to see the change from theirdomain.com
to myserver.com. This is purely a cosmetic issue for them, but I'd
like to offer them something more sophisticated than a hack like
putting my service in a frame on their site.
What I would like to accomplish is to get the customer's subdomain
mysite.theirsite.com to resolve to my subdomain theirsite.mysite.com.
Is there any way to make this connection?
FWIW, I'm running Apache on Linux; and clients are running various
things including Apache/*nix and Win/IIS. Any reference to a source of
info on this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks!
