Hi,

I would like to register a .co.uk domain that is currently registered
with the following information:

Relevant Dates:
Registered on: 26-Aug-1997
Renewal Date: 26-Aug-2003
Last updated: 26-Aug-1997

Registration Status:
Renewal required.

Is it possible for me to register this domain?

Not until its released. Expired domains are generally held for at least 40
days...and sometimes a year or longer. I'm not sure what the release period
is for .co.uk domains...but it isn't the expiry date. Sad

with the current situation under ICANN, that's also true of .com etc
(but IMHO, the delays before a *.uk domain gets deleted are too long!)<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

This might improve soon as nominet are going over to positive renewals
in November.

Previously the tag holder had some time after the expiry to renew the
domain. From November if the domain isn't set to auto renew and isn't
manually renewed, it should expire on the expiry date which should
mean a quicker turnover.
