Hello everybody,

I would like to configure apache 1.3.x to restrict a certain domainname with
user name and password. Problem is, I cant put a htaccess file into this
directory, since this dir is the same one as antother domain needs and this cant
be changed.

Does anybody know how to do this? Possibly inside the virtual host directive?

Thank you for any help,

Merlin

from what I know you can't - perhaps I'm wrong, asthe other domain needs =
it without user authentication.

perhaps mod_rewrite or something can do this ?
