Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hi!
I have got an account with my school computer. So my account would be
www.abc.edu/~myname

While I don't have root access I have install tomcat on my local
machine.
So tomcat is installed under directory myname.

When I try to access it with www.abc.edu/~myname:8080 it doesn't show
up. Could you please help me?

I tried searching a lot but couldn't find any specific answer.

Thanks,
Confused:)
