Hi
How are you doing this "check server extensions"? From the Sharepoint Admin
site? (or from the IIS MMC snapin?) What if you try using the Sharepoint
Admin site?
Cheers

: When I run a check server extensions on any of my websites (Windows 2003
: server IIS 6.0) the permissions are reset without the IUSR or OWS users.
If
: I go into the properties of the site and disable anonymous access and
: re-enable it, the IUSR still has no access.
:
: I've gone in and temporarily set the correct permissions (copied from the
: default site) but would like to correct this so that in the future if I
run
: a 'Check Server Etensions' and have it re-apply security settings or
tighten
: security I won't lose the IUSR and OWS users.
:
: A little background: the sites were originally created on the D: drive of
my
: server. I was having issues with my raid card, so I moved them to the C:
: drive under the default inetpub directory. I beleive permissions were
: working fine up to this point. I then moved them back to the D: drive and
: now the permissions get screwed up when doing what I said above. Even if
I
: create a new web on the c:\inetpub\newsite and check the server
extensions,
: re-applying security settings and tightening security it doesn't add the
: IUSR or OWS users....
:
: Any ideas?
