Can anyone recommend a debit/credit card online payment solution which
enables you too customize the payment request form, Paypal & Nochex
only allow the addition of a basic text field? The other end of the
market seems too expensive for my current requirements - Worldpay,
etc.

Is it possible to create my own payment request form on an ssl hosted
server and request a 3rd party online payment service to perform the
tranactions?

Howdy,

The old, "Pay me now or pay me later" kinda applies. The cheap quicky
solutions often end up costing more because of problems and charge backs
than the services that cost more but provide you better protection. You'll
also end up paying out more on transaction charges to compensate for the low
initial costs.

What appears to be cheap solutions for card processing will also cost you
sales because people are going to figure you are not a real business if you
have to send them down the street to get your money.

The better shopping cart solutions can handle this. The BIZyCart Ecommerce
Server (www.bizycart.com) allows considerable flexibility in appearance and
will process Paypal, standard real-time gateway transactions, or use its
secure E-Mail mode for handling card transactions using your own terminal
interface.

My business started with PayPal and ran with it for about a year.
PayPal really makes it easy for the business owner but unfortunately,
most of the web do not shop on eBay and use PayPal as their preferred
method of payment.

Recently I signed up with Verisign for SSL and applied for a merchant
account to add credit card abilities to my website. While the initial
investment is somewhat costly, it isn't as bad as what I originally
thought it'd be. I do have to say that increased sales makes the
investment worth it. Having fraud protection also protects me from
getting weird chargebacks, etc.

You can always create your own payment page if you know what you're
doing. If not, I recommend hiring a professional to worry about those
things for you.

I use Ikobo to accept credit card payments, they are similar to
payPal, but better, they give you Visa Debit card to withdraw your
money on any ATM machine in the world. Everything works, funds
transfer is instant. I am using it for a few months and so far they
are grait! You can also send money to anyone in the world. It is the
most inespensive method I have found. They offers easy integration
into any website, auction, or email.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
