can some please tell me where you can set the authentication from anon to
check the domain for validation
for some reason i can connect anon but not authenticate

What IIS version?

For IIS v5, right-click on the website/folder/file in the IIS MMC Snapin ->
Properties -> Directory Security -> Anonymous -> Edit Button -> Uncheck
"Allow Anonymous Authentication"
