[newbie] About content management system

Hi:

I am a little confused about content management
system (CMS). For example, OpenCMS(opencms.com),
is a Java/Servlet/JSP based CMS, does that
means only the website developer need
the Servlet/JSP environment, or does it mean the
hosting company for the site maintained by OpenCMS
should also support Servlet/JSP?

It means that the developer (person who maintains the site) needs access to
those tecnologies.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
