Post subject: named URLS on IIS 6 using hostheaders....
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have a 2 node IIS6 NLB utilizing host headers. We are
releasing new code from a standalone DEV environment that
contains a .net component that needs to reference the
site. My question is how best should I configure the
site/config file to work on an NLB? I am concerned that
one node will reference the site on the other node and
cause an issue. Are NLB nodes smart enough to always
reference themselves when using host headers? Should I
modify the local host files to ensure this? Or is it OK
that one node references the site on another node?

Thanks in advance...
