just wondering if anyone knows anything about miva merchant. there's a
setting in "EDIT STATE LIST" for "outside US". well, in their help it
states:
Caution - It should be noted that the outside country listing, such as
"Outside US" contains a null code. This is the default value used in
the 'Bill To' area of the customer's order form. If "Outside US" is
removed from the list, then a state code will be entered to the "Bill
To" area. If the customer's "Ship To" state code does not match the
"Bill To" code, it will prompt the customer with the message that the
"One or more required fields were not filled out correctly,"
highlighting in red the "Bill To" fields. Therefore, removing the
"Outside US" is not recommended.
and i deleted everything outside the US and CANADA from the system
because when i started the store that was all we shipped to. i was
wondering if anyone knows a way to get that field back, short of
contacting miva and paying for their help.
lmk & thx,

Go into States and recreate Outside US with a vaule of null (blank).
Either that, or you will have to replace your states.dbf.
Contact me offlist with your Miva Merchant version offlist (remove the
NOSPAM in my email address) if you need a copy of the database.
